Welcome Cougar family!
My name is Juan Flores, and I am the Prevention Specialist at NCMS. I work alongside our wonderful counseling team guiding, preparing, and helping students prepare for their high school years and beyond. I was born and partly raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. At age 5, my family and I migrated to Indio, California. Having to adjust to a new country and learn a second language was challenging but at the same time exciting. I graduated from Indio High School and went straight into the United States Navy. I left the Navy after my short 4 year term with many life lessons, wonderful experiences, and lifelong friendships. I came back home to attend College of the Desert where a earned an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. I then went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology at Brandman University. I enjoy working with youth and helping them to realize their full potential. Coming from a hard working migrant family, I have taken every advantage of the opportunities presented to me. Education was, and continues, to be my ticket to success and a happy life.
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you! Let’s have an amazing school year!
